Integrated resort operator Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) said in a statement yesterday that its Training & Development (T&D) department was named “Team of the Year – Hospitality & Leisure” at the recent “Hong Kong Business Management Excellence Awards 2026” in Hong Kong, marking the company’s third human resources recognition in the year.
The statement said that the team garnered the award for “its success in executing a comprehensive people-readiness plan”, with the company being the only winner in the category and in Macau. GEG Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Administration Bill Lu accepted the award on the company’s behalf.
The statement said that the company’s previous two accolades were achieved at the “5th National Human Resources Innovation Competition”, organised by the Human Resources Management Committee of the China Chamber of International Commerce and HRLead.
The awards were namely “Best Talent Development Brand – Leading Brand” for its talent training programme, and the “Best Innovative HR Innovation practice – Leading Brand” for the “Experience Macao with GEG – Nurturing Talents through Cultural and Tourism Excellence” case study.
The statement said that the integrated resort operator offers growth opportunities for staff through structured induction training, systematic service concept courses, and cross-departmental platforms. The company also promotes continuous education, encouraging staff to pursue professional qualifications such as Forbes hospitality training, the statement said, noting that to date, over 4,000 employees have attained professional certifications. GEG’s hotels and F&B outlets have received numerous international awards.
