Secretary for Administration and Justice Sonia Chan Hoi Fan said yesterday that over 10 people are currently employed by the government on acquisition of services (AoS) contracts, apart from those in the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC).
Chan attended a plenum in the legislature’s hemicycle which discussed a debate motion by lawmaker-cum-unionist Leong Veng Chai.A hard-hitting report released by the Commission Against Corruption (CCAC) in early March slammed the Cultural Affairs Bureau for having hired a large number of staff on “unjustified” acquisition of services (AoS) contracts.
