Trio nabbed for HK$2 million fraud: police

Two local men and a woman were arrested on Saturday for allegedly cheating a mainland man out of HK$2 million, a Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesperson said yesterday.

According to the spokesperson, the male suspects, a father and son, surnamed Chan, are 53 and 26 years old. The father is unemployed while the son is a casino junket promoter. The spokesperson said the third suspect, surnamed Lam, is a 47-year-old jobless woman.

The spokesperson said the victim asked the police for help on Saturday at about 11 a.m., saying that he had been cheated out of HK$ 2 million.
