The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) announced in a statement yesterday the launch of voting for the “Most Popular Group” and the photography contest for the upcoming “2026 Macao International Parade”, which takes place on March 29.
Members of the public can vote for their favourite group for a chance to win “one round-trip economy class ticket from Macau to any destination operated by Air Macau”, while the group garnering the highest number of votes will receive the “Most Popular Group” Award, according to the statement.
To vote, the statement said that one can access the parade’s website starting at 10 a.m. on Tuesday through 5:30 p.m. on the parade day, or by scanning QR codes on promotional materials that day.
The “2026 Macao International Parade Photography Contest”, meanwhile, features a Champion Award, a 1st Runner-Up Award, a 2nd Runner-Up Award and 15 Merit Awards. Open to Macau residents aged 12 or older, participants can submit up to five photos themed around the parade and showcase “diverse performances, joyous scenes, images of the participants and highlights of the event”, the statement noted. Submissions will be open from March 29 through April 6, with contest regulations available on the parade website.
Over 10 groups from countries and regions along the Maritime Silk Road hubs across Asia, Africa, and Europe as well as nearly 50 local groups will be brought together, totalling nearly 1,600 artistes this year.
