Election committee finds 2 irregularities

The Legislative Assembly Electoral Affairs Committee (CAEAL) has so far received three applications for the setting-up of candidacy nominating committees, Tong Hio Fong, who heads the government-appointed body, said yesterday, adding that his committee also discovered two suspected irregularities.

Speaking to reporters after a regular meeting at the Public Administration Building in Rua do Campo, Tong, a judge by profession, said his committee discovered that two voters signed more than one election candidature nomination form among the three applications received.
