Mandarin Oriental recently invited Chinese Wedding Master Lo Kan Fong from Hong Kong to host an exclusive wedding workshop where she explained the traditions, rituals and etiquette of a traditional Chinese wedding.
The workshop coincides with the hotel’s new wedding banquet themes, which are the “Fancy Garden”, “Double Happiness”, “Joyous Bliss” and “Elegant Romance”, offering a one-stop service so that couples need not waste time looking for another company to decorate the wedding venue. The new themes are very different to each other, with “Fancy Garden” transforming its standard ballroom into an indoor garden, red is the colour for “Double Happiness” for couples who want a glamourous Chinois chic-style wedding, the “Joyous Bliss” is inspired by Western-style weddings with the use of champagne and beige tones to set a serene atmosphere, and “Elegant Romance” runs on a palette of light purple, which is associated with royalty and nobility, and exudes energy and grandeur.
