Scott Chiang Meng Hin said in a Facebook statement yesterday that he would step down as president of the New Macau Association (NMA) on June 9.
Speaking to The Macau Post Daily last night in a phone interview, Chiang said he would remain a member of the grassroots activist group after he stepped down from its top post.Chiang said he believed his resignation was “good” for his group’s candidates in the upcoming legislative elections. However, Chiang declined to say why he decided to resign from his post.
