Legislative Assembly Electoral Affairs Committee (CAEAL) President Tong Hio Fong said yesterday that the Portuguese version of the Election Law is “more accurate” than the Chinese one, urging registered voters to sign no more than one election candidature nomination form.

The legislative election will take place on September 17.

Both Chinese and Portuguese are official languages in Macau.

Speaking to reporters after a regular meeting at the Public Administration Building in Rua do Campo, Tong, a judge by profession, said the committee had discussed during the meeting how to deal with registered voters who signed more than one election candidature nomination form.
