The Tourism Crisis Management Office (GGCT) has issued a Level 1 travel alert for the UK, according to a statement released by the office last night, as the UK this week raised its terror threat level from “severe” to “critical”.
A packed Manchester pop concert was bombed on Monday, killing at least 22 people including an eight-year-old girl and injuring 59.
Level 1 represents an imminent threat to personal safety, so that residents should be vigilant about their own safety, according to the three-level system.
