New Macau Association (NMA) activists collected over 500 signatures in Coloane Village yesterday, petitioning the government to revoke the recent changes to public bus route 25 - its terminus has been changed from Hac Sa Beach to Coloane Village.

The group set up a booth at the Coloane Village bus terminus from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to NMA board member Paul Chan Wai Chi.

Speaking to reporters at the scene, Chan said the change in route 25’s terminus had caused traffic jams at the roundabout in front of the terminus, as large buses are usually used for the route and the road is not spacious. The problem was worsened yesterday, when tourist coaches contributed to the congestion as well.
