The government yesterday announced the schedule for this year’s annual summer activity.
The 2026 Summer Activity will provide a total of 46,000 places for local residents aged between 4 and 25, around the same as last year.
The online registration period, which starts at 10 a.m. today, is running until 10 p.m. next Tuesday. Those registering during this period will enter a draw, which will determine whether they will be allocated a place. The government will announce the results of the draw at 10 a.m. next Friday.
The government’s annual summer activity is jointly organised by the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) and the Sports Bureau (ID). They announced details of this year’s activity during a press conference at the latter’s headquarters in Zape yesterday.
Those allocated a place by the draw will be required to choose and sign up for their class online between 10 a.m. on June 8 and 10 p.m. on June 12.
Potential participants can choose to register for the activity and sign up for their class either on the activity’s official website or via the Macao One Account e-government app.
In the event of places still being available, the government will also run a period for those who do not register between today and Tuesday next week, or those who fail to obtain the activity of their choice in the upcoming draw, to register again between 10 a.m. on June 8 and 10 p.m. on June 11. Those registering during this period will enter another draw, the results of which will be released at 10 a.m. on June 14. Afterwards, those allocated a place by this draw will be required to choose and sign up for their class online between 10 a.m. on June 15 and 10 p.m. on June 17.
Each potential participant can sign up for one activity during the first enrolment period, while they can sign up for two activities during the second enrolment period. Consequently, each participant can sign up for up to three activities.
This year’s summer activity will provide 450 non-sport activities, with 1,400 classes and 25,000 places, and 100 sport activities, with 760 classes and 21,000 places.
According to yesterday’s press conference, the government expects to spend 10.4 million on the non-sport activities and 5.98 million on the sporting activities.
As last year, some of the activities this year will be held in Hengqin.
