The Judiciary Police (PJ) have arrested a 55-year-old dealer for embezzling HK$61,000 worth of casino chips, a PJ spokesperson said during a regular press conference yesterday.
The suspect, a local man surnamed Lau, was found by casino surveillance staff to have slipped a casino chip worth HK$10,000 up his sleeve when he was on duty on Sunday, according to the spokesperson.
After checking CCTV recordings, the staff found that Lau stole a chip worth HK$1,000 earlier that day. The staff immediately reported the case to the police.
