Zhuhai’s Gongbei Customs announced in a statement yesterday that its officers at Jiuzhou Port (checkpoint) seized 2.77 grams of Methamphetamine, aka meth or ice, on Sunday.
According to the statement, on that day, customs officers inspected the luggage of a passenger who had entered via the “green channel” at the checkpoint.
Customs officers noticed that the passenger was visibly nervous during the inspection.
Upon further examination, the statement said, customs officers found two plastic bags wrapped in black tape inside the passenger’s backpack. Both bags were found to contain a white crystalline powder, according to the statement.
The powder was later confirmed to be methamphetamine, with a net weight of 2.77 grammes.
