Members of the Urban Planning Council (CPU) did not reach a consensus yesterday on a proposed high-rise project with a maximum height of 127 metres, on a plot of land next to the city’s only Muslim cemetery, located in Ramal dos Mouros.
The Macau Islamic Association has asked the government for permission to build a residential high-rise there, with the aim of funding the cost of a new religious centre.
Yesterday’s regular meeting of the council was the fourth time that the government presented the proposed legal development conditions for the plot to the council for discussion.
