The “Women’s Volleyball Nations League (VNL) – Finals Macau 2026 Presented By Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG)” will be held from July 22 to 26 at the Macau East Asian Games Dome in Cotai, featuring eight of the world’s top women’s volleyball teams competing for the championship, according to a statement by the Sports Bureau (ID) yesterday.

The tournament is jointly organised by the bureau, GEG and the Volleyball Association of Macao.

Event details were announced during a press conference yesterday, attended by the bureau’s Acting President See Lei Si Leng, GEG Director Philip Cheng Yee Sing, Volleyball Association Vice Chairman Che Tai Kuan and other guests at Galaxy International Convention Centre in Cotai, the statement said.

Lei said that Macau has hosted major international women’s volleyball competitions for many years, helping to build strong public interest in the sport, adding that organisers will continue bringing high-level volleyball events to residents and visitors alike while introducing volleyball-themed cultural and creative product booths and photo installations to enhance the tournament atmosphere, the statement noted.

Cheng noted that 2026 marks GEG’s 16th year supporting the women’s volleyball tournament in Macau. He said that the integrated resort operator will work closely with organisers to ensure the successful staging of the event while launching community activities aimed at encouraging broader participation and promoting Macau’s development as a “City of Sports”.

According to the statement, the 2026 VNL features 18 national teams competing across preliminary rounds from June 3 through July 12. The finals in Macau will feature the Chinese mainland as the host team alongside the seven highest-ranked teams, the statement noted.

The knockout competition will begin with the quarter-finals on July 22 and 23, followed by the semi-finals on July 25 and the medal matches on July 26, the statement said, adding that tickets are priced between 280 patacas and 1,380 patacas depending on seating category and match stage.

Discounts are available for students, senior citizens and holders of disability assessment registration cards, while special packages and multi-ticket offers are also available, the statement pointed out.

The statement said that the tournament will not only showcase world-class volleyball but also strengthen the integration of sports and tourism in Macau, adding that fans are encouraged to purchase tickets early to watch some of the world’s leading women’s volleyball teams compete for the 2026 VNL title.
