Macau’s two public bus operators recorded a total profit of 97.1 million patacas in 2025.
The two companies published their respective 2025 financial reports in the Official Gazette (BO) yesterday, according to which TCM recorded an after-tax profit of 49.25 million patacas, while Transmac earned 47.85 million patacas after tax.
According to official data on the website of the Transport Bureau (DSAT), Macau recorded 231 million public bus passengers in 2025, or a daily average of 636,000, representing an increase of 1.81 percent from 2024.
In 2024, the total number of Macau’s public bus passengers stood at 227 million, or a daily average of 624,700.
Last year’s number of public bus passengers was the highest number on record, surpassing the previous record of 229 million, or a daily average of 627,200, set in pre-COVID-19 pandemic 2019.
According to its 2025 financial report published in the gazette yesterday, TCM recorded 125 million passengers last year, a record high.
According to its 2025 financial report published yesterday, Transmac recorded 107 million passengers last year, a decrease of 1.5 percent from 2024.
Transmac attributed the slight decrease in last year’s number of its passengers to the “competition” from the Light Rapid Transit (LRT) Seac Pai Van Line and Hengqin Line.
The two LRT lines came into service in late 2024.
