The Judiciary Police (PJ) have arrested a local dealer and a friend of his for stealing casino chips 116 times since mid-April, PJ spokesman Ho Chan Nam said during a regular press conference yesterday.
Ho said security staff of a casino in Cotai reported to the police on Wednesday they suspected one of their croupiers of stealing casino chips with the help of a man who pretended to be a customer.
According to Ho, the 42-year-old dealer surnamed Chao realised that he was not required to spread the casino chips on the gaming table before giving them to customers.
