The Macao Museum will be opening the “Macao’s 1st Group of Classified Movable Properties Thematic Exhibition” on Friday, with members of the public able to view a collection of exhibits from the “movable properties of significant cultural value” from Saturday through August 16, according to a statement yesterday by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC).
Friday will see an opening ceremony in the museum’s lobby to which members of the public are invited.
The statement said that among the first group of 400 items/sets of “movable properties of significant cultural value” covers 24 categories, the upcoming exhibition on the museum’s third floor will showcase around 100 selected items/sets from the collection, along with multimedia displays.
The exhibition aims to present the “protection and management of movable properties of significant cultural value in Macau”, according to the statement.

Admission to the museum is free for Macau ID holders, while it is also complimentary for the general public on Tuesdays and on the 15th of each month, the statement said. The museum is open from Tuesdays to Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
