The Health Bureau (SSM) said yesterday that three private clinics were suspected of having provided in vitro fertilisation (IVF) services without a licence. The bureau stressed that only the public Conde de Sao Januario Hospital Centre is allowed to provide artificial insemination services.

The bureau made the announcement in a special press conference at the public hospital yesterday.

The bureau said that if a medical institution plans to provide assisted reproductive technology medical services, it needs to apply for a licence from the bureau
