The two-day “Summer Vibes” Flash Mob was held at Grand Lisboa Palace (GLP) in Cotai last weekend, with the event featuring live performances from 15 Macao Orchestra musicians.
Performances were held at the integrated resort’s atrium, with each lasting 30 minutes. According to a statement from SJM Resorts on Tuesday, the flash mob, which drew 700 music lovers from the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and beyond, was part of the integrated resort operator’s “summer activations” and provided “an engaging way to embrace the spirit of summer, while showcasing the city’s rich cultural heritage and contributing to its development as a ‘City of Performing Arts’”.
Performances brought together a selection of Emmy and Academy Award-winning productions alongside classical compositions, including excerpts from “A Puccini Trilogy,” music from the science fiction and horror television series “Stranger Things,” the Brazilian choro classic “Tico-Tico,” and “Golden” from “K-Pop Demon Hunters”, among others.
The statement added that the event reflected “SJM’s continued commitment to advancing ‘Tourism + Performing Arts’ and enriching the seasonal offering” at GLP. The statement also highlighted the other recently-held events at the integrated resort, with each catering to guests of all ages.
