The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested 12 men and women from the mainland on Monday for belonging to a loan-sharking gang offering casino patrons instant gambling loans.

According to the police, the gang was “in business” for at least 11 months.

PJ spokesman Chan Cho Man announced details of the case during a special press conference yesterday. The three male and nine female suspects are aged between 25 and 63, Chan said.
