The four-day 2026 ITTF World Para Future will conclude today in Nakhon Ratchasima, northeastern Thailand, where Macau paddler U Choi Hong, 58, clinched a bronze in the Women’s Singles Class 7, according to an online report by Macau Sports Weekly yesterday.

According to the ITTF official website, the event, which serves as an ITTF Para Table Tennis ranking tournament, attracted over 260 athletes from 37 countries worldwide, all vying for qualification points towards the Asian Para Games and the Paralympic Games.

According to chatbot Gemini, Class 7 belongs to the standing division and is designated for players with severe impairments. Players in this class typically have severe impairments in both legs (significantly affecting static and dynamic balance, and limiting quick lateral movement); or severe to moderate impairment of the playing arm (the hand or arm holding the bat); or a combination of moderate to severe impairments in both arms and legs (such as severe hemiplegia, cerebral palsy, unilateral motor dysfunction, or bilateral arm amputations).
