A local man in his twenties has been arrested for pushing over a self-service photo booth while intoxicated at an open-air food street of a Cotai hotel earlier this year, a Public Security Police (PSP) spokesperson said during a regular press conference yesterday.
The suspect, surnamed Ho, told the police that he is unemployed.
The incident occurred on May 22, when the female owner of the booth found that the machine had been knocked over. After reviewing CCTV footage provided by nearby restaurants, she saw that a man had pushed it over earlier that day and reported the incident to the police.
The photo booth was damaged, with repair costs estimated at 12,000 patacas.
The police identified Ho through the citywide CCTV system and summoned him for questioning on Tuesday.
Ho confessed to the act, telling officers he had been drinking at a bar shortly before walking past the photo booth. He expressed willingness to cover the repair costs.
Ho has been transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office (MP) and faces a charge of criminal damage.
