Macau Pass, a local electronic payment service provider, introduced mobile payment technology yesterday during a launching ceremony at a Royal Supermarket in Areia Preta.
The company launched the mobile app “MacauPay” which generates QR codes to be scanned with a point of sale (POS) machine or other devices by the cashier.
Users have to confirm their identity when creating a MacauPay account including scanning their identity card.
