The free-admission Barra Slow Festival will again be held at Navy Yard No.1, No.2, Dock Area and Outdoor Plaza in Barra District, this time themed “Bake with Ease, Savour the Summer” and gathering more than 100 bakery and lifestyle-aesthetics market stalls.
To be held from next Friday through Sunday, the announcement was made by organiser the District Development Centre of the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau (widely known as Kai Fong or UGAMM) in a statement on Wednesday.
The Mondial du Pain (“World Bread”) Ambassadors (China) brings top award-winning bakers such as the China champion of the 10th World Bread Competition, Global Final Champion of the 9th edition; and Gold Medallist of the 2nd National Contest, alongside popular brands like Jiangren Zhiwei, Roll Roll Bakery, and One Roll Bakery.
Ceramic tableware, calming scented goods, plant‑based woven crafts, linen sundries, fine accessories and creative cultural ornaments will also be presented by Asian brands at the Lifestyle Aesthetics Market.
Meanwhile, the statement said that the music programme has been upgraded to a three-day-large-scale sunset concert series within the bamboo pavilion, this time featuring 10 artistes from across China. Among them are Hong Kong singers Yoyo Sham (岑寧兒) and Gigi Cheung (張蔓姿), as well as Offside Festival from the Chinese mainland.
