The Parisian Macao will be commemorating its 10th anniversary this Sunday, with integrated resort operator Sands China noting in a statement yesterday that the property has welcomed over 100 million visitors from all over the world since its opening.

According to the statement, the company has invested and enriched the property’s non-gaming offerings over the past 10 years, highlighting the integrated resort’s more than 2,540 hotel rooms, around 62,000 square feet of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) facilities, the Shoppes at Parisian that cover around 27,600 m2, family-friendly facilities, and dining opportunities. Its Eiffel Tower, built at half the scale of the original in Paris, also features a variety of experiences.

Moreover, the statement said that the 1,200-seat Parisian Theatre has presented a raft of international renowned performances, while a variety of art exhibitions have also been hosted at the property.

Sands China Executive Vice Chairman Wilfred Wong Ying Wai, was quoted by the statement as saying: “Over the past decade, The Parisian Macao has continually enriched Macau’s non-gaming tourism offerings through its diverse portfolio of hospitality, MICE, retail, entertainment and family-friendly experiences, while serving as an important catalyst for the high-quality development of the tourism industry. Its iconic Eiffel Tower has become a defining feature of the Cotai skyline and a landmark through which myriads of visitors have come to experience, remember and connect with Macau”.

Wong added the company’s continued commitment to “advancing non-gaming development, introducing world-class events and experiences, and transforming the vitality of tourism into lasting momentum for Macau’s economic diversification.”

Meanwhile, leading up to the anniversary, a raft of celebratory events has been held, including the ongoing property-wide experience “An Interstellar Dream with Le Petit Prince” and “A Dazzling 10th Anniversary Celebration”, which has been on since August 7, with 1,500 drones taking to the sky on Fridays and weekends until the anniversary.

Moreover, “The Parisian Macao 10th Anniversary Community Fun Day” drew 130 families from local social service organisations, the statement said, while the Celebrity Chefs’ Table presented fine-dining experiences at Le Cristal Parisian was well-received.

The recent “Team Member Appreciation Celebration” also recognised staff efforts and contributions over the years, the statement said, with over 2,000 staff joining management executives in celebrating the decade-long journey.
