Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) Director Paulo Martins Chan said yesterday that enhancing security in the city’s casinos was “an urgent matter”, even though there was a low risk of the city being attacked.

According to the DICJ website, the number of casinos in the city at the end of first quarter stood at 39, two of which were inactive at that time.

Chan spoke to reporters yesterday at the Venetian in Cotai where he attended the graduation ceremony for Sands China’s “Professionalism Training for Gaming Practitioners”.
