Worker dies in Grand Lisboa Palace accident

A male construction worker from the mainland died yesterday after falling from a height of eight to 10 metres on the construction site of Grand Lisboa Palace in Cotai, the Fire Services Bureau (CB) said in a statement yesterday.

In a statement yesterday, the Judiciary Police (PJ) identified the victim as a 47-year-old non-resident worker surnamed Tang. The police said Tang was rushed to the public Conde de Sao Januario Hospital Centre where he was pronounced dead after emergency treatment.

Yesterday afternoon, the Fire Services Bureau received a call about an accident on the construction site. The worker was unconscious and he was bleeding profusely from a head wound, the CB statement said.
