October will see the 16th edition of Oktoberfest Macau at MGM, with a 12-day run from October 28 through November 8 on the Roof Terrace of MGM COTAI.

New elements are among the highlights of this year’s programme, according to a statement by the integrated resort operator on Thursday, this time seeing German band “SAKRISCH GUAT” (“Darned Good” in Bavarian) perform in Macau for the first time. The band boasts over 15 years of touring experience and is set to bring “an energetic live set featuring Bavarian Music, international pop hits, and Chinese-language classics”.

The festival will also feature Cantopop party culture, with popular Cantopop DJ collective “Cantomania” to present two exclusive “Cantopop DJ Nights” featuring familiar Cantonese hits spanning generations, the statement said.

Meanwhile, the venue will again be a Bavarian-inspired festival marquee featuring long wooden tables, benches, and themed decorations, along with a selection of Bavarians favourites such as roasted pork knuckle, roast chicken and pretzels, paired with Paulaner beer, non-alcoholic beer and specialty beverages, the statement said.

The event will be open from 6:00 p.m. to midnight throughout its run.

Tickets are priced at 180 patacas per person daily, except on October 30 and 31, during which admission is 280 patacas per guest.
