The “hush! Beach Concerts x Urban Sports Wellfest 2026” is scheduled to take place on November 14 and 15 at Hac Sa Beach and the adjacent Temporary Green and Leisure Area, featuring over 20 local bands, alongside a lineup of masterclasses, workshops, community outreach activities, and original merchandise, Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) President Deland Leong Wai Man announced in a press conference yesterday.
The press conference for the two-day event was held at MGM Cotai. The event aims to create an annual signature cultural and sports brand event that showcases both cultural creativity and athletic vitality for residents and visitors alike.
Leong noted in a speech that the festival features over 20 local bands as its core performers, alongside a dedicated stage for youth and children’s bands to foster up-and-coming performing arts talent. Aiming to encourage young people to engage with live popular music, bands will visit local campuses and neighbourhoods to host promotional performances and interactive demonstrations.
Meanwhile, a raft of music masterclasses, workshops, and community activities will be held to help elevate the creative and performance standards of local music professionals, Leong said.
Furthermore, the festival also partners with local entities to launch original products through the “hush! Brand Collaboration” programme, stimulating local cultural and creative vitality, Leong noted.
“Building on the success of last year, music industry representatives were organised to participate in networking and matchmaking sessions, leading to several local bands being invited to perform at international music festivals in Singapore, Indonesia, and South Korea”, Leong said, adding that the event continues to project Macau’s performing arts strength onto the global stage.
Leong noted that in order to further empower talent cultivation and industry growth through cultural events, music industry networking sessions will return this year, aiming to broaden the international horizons and development opportunities for the local performing arts sector.
