The Judiciary Police (PJ) yesterday urged residents to be cautious about a popular new toy in a “nearby region” as it functions the same as a crossbow. The police urged parents to ensure that their children do not obtain and play with “such a dangerous toy”.
The police said in a statement that while the “small weapon” is like a toy, it works the same as a crossbow but shoots toothpicks.
The statement did not identify the “nearby region”. According to Hong Kong news reports yesterday, the new “toy” has recently become popular among primary school pupils in the mainland.
