6 sick after eating take-away from Pizza Hut in Taipa

Six people came down with suspected gastroenteritis on Thursday after eating take-away food from Pizza Hut in Taipa, the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) Food Safety Centre said in a statement on Saturday.

The statement said that a group of seven people ordered take-away from Pizza Hut in Taipa and six of them got diarrhoea after eating the food.

The statement said that based on the Health Bureau’s (SSM) examination, the incident was most likely caused by food bacteria.

Judiciary Police (PJ) Director Chao Wai Kuong said yesterday that gaming-related crimes increased by 33 percent in the first five months year-on-year. Chao made the remarks while addressing an award ceremony commemorating the 56th anniversary of the Judiciary Police at the PJ headquarters in Zape.Chao said that despite the gaming revenue slump, there hadn’t been an increase in public security issues. A student has been blackmailed out of 3,431 yuan (3,945 patacas) over a porn video in which his face had been superimposed after he met and talked to a woman online, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokeswoman Lei Hon Nei said during a regular press conference yesterday.According to Lei, the victim is a mainlander in his twenties. He is currently studying in Macau. Neither his name nor where he is studying was revealed by the spokeswoman.According to Lei, the incident happened at about 4 p.m. on Sunday.
