The government should provide free public tertiary education in order to increase young people’s competitiveness, Macau Citizens Federation Chairman Sze Lee Ah said yesterday.
Sze made the remarks on the sidelines of a forum held by the association’s Youth Committee at its headquarters in Iao Hon district about the difficulties young people may encounter when finding jobs.
About a dozen audience members attended yesterday’s forum.
Sze suggested the government provide free tertiary education to locals, adding he believed that it would not be a burden to the government as it usually has a fiscal surplus.
