Three groups, headed by directly-elected lawmakers Ng Kuok Cheong, Au Kam San and indirectly-elected lawmaker Chui Sai Cheong respectively, submitted their final lists of candidates and political platforms yesterday to the Legislative Assembly Electoral Affairs Committee (CAEAL) for the upcoming legislative elections.
The direct and indirect legislative elections will take place on September 17. A record 25 groups are running in the direct election. Each group must field a minimum of four candidates and can have up to 14 candidates.
Au and Ng will be standing for the New Democratic Macau Association and Democratic Prosperous Macau Association respectively.
