A 15-year-old girl had her mobile phone robbed by four teenage girls after being beaten up in a toilet of a cyber café, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Tam Weng Keong said during a regular press conference yesterday.
Tam said the victim was asked by the four girls, aged between 14 and 17, to meet them at a cyber café in Nam Van on Wednesday night. When the victim arrived, she went into the restroom with the other girls, who suddenly turned off the lights and beat her up, took her mobile and left the café.
According to Tam, the victim, who did not suffer serious injuries, asked an employee of the cyber café to call the police. Tam said the four girls soon returned to the café accompanied by a social worker.
