The Macau Civil Servants Association (ATFPM), headed by lawmaker Jose Pereira Coutinho, launched a survey yesterday on residents’ opinions on whether local lawmakers should work full-time and whether the Legislative Assembly’s (AL) committee meetings should be open to the public.

Coutinho made the announcement during a press conference at the ATFPM office in Zape. ATFPM Vice-President and lawmaker Leong Veng Chai and ATFPM General Assembly President Rita Santos also attended the press conference.

Both Coutinho and Leong are seeking reelection in the direct election of the Legislative Assembly on September 17.
