The Legislative Assembly Electoral Affairs Committee (CAEAL) yesterday urged residents not to take part in any mock election “games” as their personal information may be exposed or they may be found liable of violating the Legislative Assembly Election Law.
The direct and indirect legislative elections will take place on September 17. A record 25 groups are running in the direct election while six groups are running in the indirect election.
Speaking to reporters after a regular meeting by the committee at the Public Administration Building in Rua do Campo, Tong Hio Fong, who heads the committee, said the committee had noticed a mock election game on the Internet in which participants predict the results of the upcoming direct election.
