Local think tank Macau Synergy Association yesterday urged the government to optimise the city’s coastal areas and build cycling paths along the waterfront.

The group addressed the issue during a press conference at the group’s office in Avenida do Conselheiro Ferreira de Almeida.

Addressing the press conference, the association’s chairman, Ron Lam U Tou, pointed out that residents only have access to about 11 kilometres of the city’s 50-kilometre coastline.
