A 44-year-old Vietnamese woman who works as a domestic helper has been arrested for stealing about 135,000 patacas from her employer, a Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesperson said during a regular press conference yesterday.
The spokesperson said a woman told the police on June 27 that HK$80,000 and 10,000 patacas had been stolen from her purse earlier that day.
She told the police that she had the cash in her purse when she got home from work that evening. However, when she looked in her purse at around 9 p.m., the cash was gone.
