A mainland man was nabbed on Tuesday for using pepper spray and a stun gun in a robbery last month, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Tam Weng Keong said yesterday.

According to Tam, the 20-year-old suspect, surnamed Liu, is unemployed.

Tam said the robbery took place in a guestroom in a Cotai resort hotel on July 17. Liu and an accomplice had told the victim and a friend of the victim that he wanted to exchange 350,000 yuan into HK$380,000. Tam said the victim and his friend make a living by looking for customers who would like to exchange currencies.
