MGM Chief Executive Officer Grant Bowie said yesterday that the US gaming company’s Cotai property due to open later this year would allow it to maximise its market share and profitability.
Bowie made the remarks while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a “graduation ceremony” of the enterprise’s annual junior lion dance training programme for kids. A total of 75 children aged 5 to 10 completed the seven-week training course this year. The programme has so far taught about 200 children to be junior lion dancers since it was launched in 2015.
Bowie said the opening date of the Cotai resort would be announced in due course but it would definitely be this year, adding that he didn’t know how many gaming tables the company would request for its second property in Macau.
