Legal Affairs Bureau (DSAJ) Deputy Director Carmen Maria Chung, speaking during yesterday’s Macau Forum, said that government-proposed amendments to a decree-law regulating the licensing of a number of activities would not include not-for-profit cinemas and theatres.
The weekly open-air debate is hosted by government-owned broadcaster TDM in Areia Preta Park every Sunday.
The government launched a two-month public consultation in early October on proposed amendments to Decree-law 47/98/M, which regulates the licensing of a raft of business activities and the venues allowed for these activities to be carried out. The consultation period will end on December 5.
