A man from the mainland has been arrested on suspicion of committing two burglaries in September with a total haul of 650,000 patacas, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Choi Ian Fai said during a special conference at the PJ headquarters in Zape yesterday.
According to Choi, the suspect, whose surname was not revealed, allegedly committed one of the burglaries in Fai Chi Kei and the other in Taipa.
Choi said that the suspect and an accomplice followed residents into the lobbies of the two buildings. After entering the buildings, they broke into flats in the morning when the victims were at work.
