An extensive resurfacing of Rua do Campo will be carried out between December 26 and December 30, during which a total of 20 bus routes using the road will be redirected, the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) and the Transport Bureau (DSAT) announced in a joint press conference yesterday in the northern district.
Rua do Campo is one of the city’s busiest roads. According to the two bureaus, the road condition has deteriorated with some parts being bumpy, causing potential danger to drivers and riders. The bureaus have carried out several roadworks in Rua do Campo in the past few years. However, according to the statement, the outcome was not good. In order to ensure road safety, the government has decided to resurface the road after Christmas and before the New Year.
From December 26 to December 28 (Tuesday to Thursday), work will be carried out on the Public Administration Building side of the road. From December 29 to December 30 (Friday to Saturday) the work will be carried out on the Banco Delta Asia side of the road.
