Macau’s restaurants and hotels reported a total of 4,393 job vacancies in the third quarter, the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) said in a statement yesterday.
According to the statement, job vacancies in hotels rose by 352 year on year to 2,221, while the number of vacancies in restaurants stood at 2,172, almost unchanged from a year ago.
At the end of the third quarter, hotels had 54,524 full-time employees, down 0.1 percent year on year. Average earnings – excluding bonuses – of full-time hotel staff in September rose 2.3 percent to 17,200 patacas.
