Bahrain’s Kenyan-born Eunice Jepkirui Kirwa won the women’s 2017 Galaxy Entertainment Macau International Marathon in 2:29.12 yesterday, followed by runners from Ukraine and Kenya in second and third place respectively, while Kenya’s Felix Kiptoo Kirwa won the men’s marathon in 2:10.01, followed by two fellow Kenyans in second and third places.
Both winners broke local records and each won US$62,000.
Kenyans won the men’s marathon in 2016, 2014 and 2013.
