Gaming operator SJM made a donation of 550,000 patacas yesterday to the Charity Fund from the Readers of Macao Daily News to support its annual “Walk for a Million” charity walk that is taking place on Sunday.
A cheque presentation ceremony was held at Grand Lisboa Hotel with SJM Chairman of the Board of Directors Ambrose So Shu Fai and Managing Director and Chief Administrative Officer Angela Leong On Kei handing a cheque to several of the charity fund’s representatives such as its Chairwoman Ho Teng Iat and Vice Chairman Lok PoAccording to an SJM statement, So said that as his company continued to adheres to its motto “From society, To society”, it actively helps local charity groups and encourages its staff to engage in volunteering to help people in need.
Similar to previous years, So said the company will have an SJM staff team taking part in the charity walk to show the spirit of love and care to build a harmonious Macau together.
