Addressing yesterday’s Q&A session in the legislature’s hemicycle, Secretary for Transport and Public Works Raimundo do Rosario said he hoped that the city’s six gaming operators could set up a joint venture (JV) for casino shuttle bus operations, with the aim of reducing the total number of such buses clogging the city’s streets.

Rosario made the remarks when answering a question from directly-elected lawmaker-cum-gaming executive Angela Leong On Kei, on the first day of the two-day Q&A session about his portfolio’s policy guidelines for next year.

In her question, Leong, the managing director of SJM, pointed out that both tourists and residents like using casino shuttle buses. She asked what measures the government will take to better regulate their operations.
