The lead characters “Captain” and “Maria” in The Sound of Music have done numerous shows but what makes the job a very special joy is that they get to perform with children.

The London West End production of the acclaimed musical “The Sound of Music” will begin its 18-day run at Venetian Theatre tomorrow.

The production earlier this year held auditions in Macau and Hong Kong giving local children a chance to shine on stage with a professional cast. A total of 20 from the auditions were picked to play the von Trapp family children and six of them presented the famous “Do-Re-Mi” number with the cast for a media preview yesterday.
