Secretary for Transport and Public Works Raimundo do Rosario said yesterday the government would consider regularly reviewing and updating the figures indicating the city’s demand for public housing units
Rosario made the remarks yesterday when replying to oral interpellations by directly-elected lawmakers Becky Song Pek Kei and Ho Ion Sang during a plenary session of the legislature.
The Housing Bureau (IH) released in October details of a study about the city’s demand for public housing. According to the report, the government expects the number of public housing units in 2023 to meet residents’ needs at that time, even expecting a surplus of more than 13,000 public housing units in 2026.
